Luomo: The Present Lover [Jan. 19th, 2004|10:08 pm]

An electronic ideologue (Vladislav Delay) makes a deep house album--well, not exactly, more like he does his usual thing and gets some post-Masters at Work-style vocals on it. I like V. Delay just fine, but didn't quite see at first why friends of mine were doing the din-daa-daa go ga-ga over this. But as I listen a little more, I realize: yes, this is probably awesome in the dark at staggering volumes. Absence of cliché here sort of means absence of hooks, and I'm suspicious of anything with somebody from a model agency on the cover no matter how hot she is, but I want to hear this some more.
