Fugazi: The Argument [Oct. 20th, 2001|01:05 am]
collating bones
Oh man. Oh man, this is _excellent_. It took me a surprisingly long time to get into Fugazi, esp. given how much I love Ian M.'s earlier bands--I think what finally did it for me was seeing them live a year or two ago, and getting to see their famous four-way psychic connection in action. They've got that happening on this record, too, as well as the thing I always love when bands do, which is playing very hard and precisely but very quietly, like they're holding something big and loud in check until they'e good and ready for it. And maybe they got the idea for the cello from spending all that time with the Ex, but it sounds great. So do the backing vocals from my old heroine Bridget Cross. Yay.
