VA: Farewell--Fondle 'Em [Oct. 12th, 2001|09:03 am]
collating bones
Supposedly the cutting edge of underground hip-hop, which means that the best the cutting edge of underground hip-hop can currently aspire to is somewhere in the region of one of the more lively verses from "They Want EFX." I mean, I think '91-'93 is about as good as hip-hop got too, but that doesn't mean it's a lost golden age, it just means it's time for a new one. After this ended, I had a couple of lines in my head--"Day tripper, sometimes I follow the sun/My flows make epileptics straight swallow they tongues." Then I realized that was actually from last year's Kleenex Girl Wonder record, not this.
